I don't want Dick Cheney to resign
I want him right there with Bush, together to the end of their reign, for all to see and remember what a complete fuck up these two are.

2. I would agree if I weren't very concerned
about how they're going to screw us over next. Impeach, impeach quickly.

I thought Nixon/Agnew were bad.

These MOFO's take the cake, REALLY!!

Dark Dick had this coming for a long time. How many blunders can you make, before people take notice?

4. The other thing is that Bush gets to appoint a replacement
if Cheney resigns. Which would give the new Veep incumbent status and an instant leg up in '08.

It's politically very stupid to be agitating for Cheney's ouster.

6. Unless it's the thing that stop the next world war
You know that other I country Cheney is after.

That might be worth even more than politics! Even more than a Dem victory hmmm? Cheney is poison with any power. Hundreds of thousands will die if he has his way. And so far the few Dems that have spoken up have helped, and the few media-Seymour Hersch and a few brave generals. I keep an IRAN fund in cash and have for over a year. I expect the best and plan for the worst. Cheney without power is the best thing for all human beings.

10. I don't think you have to worry, Catwoman.
The Dick of Death likes his job. Lots of fringe benefits, like killin'. . .

He's way too crazy to resign. Blood clot or no.

11. jr could never dump Cheney
would be too much of an admission of failure on jr.s part - and he can't cope with admitting failure. Won't happen.

In 2003 Cheney's approval numbers were about 19% and there was a lot of pundrity (left and right) speculating about dumping him from the ticket - but it didn't happen. Won't happen now - too far tied to jr.'s ego. We are saddled with him to the end of the term as long as his health holds out (which it likely will.)

One more reason why the GOP *should* despise jr. He isn'at content with his own admin failing - his ego and arrogance seems intent to take the whole party down by saddling them (the GOP) with ongong disgust with the GOP that keeps having their arms twisted in Congress to continue to supporting the very unpopular jr policies. Each day Cheney can keep eroding the US constitution by his actions as VP is another several thousand (tens of thousands?) votes that turn against whoever the next federal GOP candidates are (from president on down the ticket) in 2008. This is why for the first time in my adulthood I think that we should stop thinking about "electability" in the 2008 elections and focus more on who can reverse this quagmire (not just Iraq) once they get into office. I grow more and more confident that whoever is the dem nominee WILL be the next president. If that is the reality (which it will be unless there is a huge shift in events and public sentiment in the next 15 months) - we democrat voters in the primaries have to be very selective. I don't have a choice yet - for this very reason. I think whoever the dem is that wins the nomination will be the next president.

Okay that was a nonsequitor. To the OP - Cheney will be with us through jrs term. No question in my mind.
