I've never seen or heard that word before.

I wonder if Shrub knows what it means?

6. Brazil folks know the score. Bush is not welcome because of his own
behavior. He ordered it, he eats. it.

A President Gore or a President Kerry -- men Bush cheated -- would not have provoked a demonstration in opposition to a visit as Bush has.

Good for the Brazilian protestors. Good for their courage. Good for their clarity.

22. Sorry to say, yes, I am. Mr. Kennedy inspired an affection like no one
since.

He had an arresting presence, and a lot of people all over the world fell in love with him.

I don't blame them one bit.

I miss him like all hell myself.

26. sfexpat2000, I say thanks for calling Mr. Kennedy's name to our
attention like that, asking us to remember him as a president who inspired such respect around the world.

Someone would have had to look hard to find someone who didn't turn their head when he was on a tv screen, or on a global tour, or speaking.

Yes -- that quotation about Jackie and Paris. Yes. That's it. That's exactly how it was, exactly how he was. Agile and elegant and too soon gone from us.

"AO PAULO, Brazil March 8, 2007, 10:52 p.m. ET · Police clashed Thursday with Brazilians protesting a visit by President Bush and his push for an ethanol energy alliance, while dozens of students in Colombia showed their opposition by lobbing rocks and explosives at authorities.

Violence in Sao Paulo took place several hours before Bush arrived in South America's largest city on the first stop of his five-nation Latin America tour.

More than 6,000 students, environmentalists and left-leaning Brazilians held a largely peaceful march through the financial heart of Brazil before police fired tear gas at protesters and beat them with batons. Hundreds fled and ducked into businesses to avoid the chaos, some of them bloodied."

Other places too, it's all in the link.

15. Snip:
In Mexico, which Bush is scheduled to visit Tuesday, about two dozen demonstrators gathered in front of the U.S. Embassy in the capital chanting slogans against the U.S. project to construct border fences and Bush's visit.

Carmelo Ramirez Reyes showed up in a devil's mask, carrying a placard reading "My name is George Bush, killer of Mexicans."

35. Begs the question, doesn't it?
Why haven't there been giant anti-Bush/Cheney protests here? Not anti-war protests, but anti-Bush protests? He continues to ignore the will of the American people. He uses the Constitution as toilet paper. A majority know what a scumbag he is - in spite of the media whores. This kind of action is ultimately what's necessary to get the impeachment ball rolling. If Congress clearly understood that the American people weren't content to sit idly by while the BFEE continued on its murderous six-year crime spree, maybe we'd have gotten rid of the bastards already.

Have to hand it to the Brazilians. They put us to shame today.

and as stated repeatedly here over the last 6 years, most protests are not covered or are underreported by the press. Don't buy into the M$M meme that we Americans are complacent about what he has done to our country.

Anti-Bush Protests in Uruguay
Asset B21967 Posted By LatinHacker

Montevideo, Feb 27 Prensa Latina Repudiation by Uruguayan social sectors of US President George W. Bush visit to that nation March 9 will take the form of demonstrations in and outside the capital, it was announced on Tuesday.

Bush visit to Uruguay will be part of a Latin American tour that will also take him to Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala and Mexico.

Daniel De Souza, secretary general of FUCVAM (National Federation of Housing Cooperatives for Mutual Assistance), confirmed that protests at Bush s presence in Uruguay will also be held in the province of Colonia, 112 miles west of Montevideo.

For his part, union leader Juan Castillo said that the Uruguayan people consider the US president persona non grata for his genocide of thousands of innocent people in the occupation wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The political board of the governing Frente Amplio also rejected Bush s “warmongering and human rights violating” policy on Monday, but made it clear that the president s visit takes place “within the framework” of Uruguay s policy to “expand trade relations with the rest of the world.”

In January, the Frente Amplio governing coalition signed an Agreement on Trade and Investment that many analysts have described as the prelude of a bilateral free trade agreement.
