Godless dollar? How about an upside down God?
Found this on e-bay. Some of the new Washington Dollar coins have the edge inscriptions upside down (should be rightside up with the heads side).

Oh, what will the Freeps say now?

1. The Antichrist is alive and well and working at the US Treasury.
Explains a lot actually.

2. Coins without the inscription
will not work in vending machines and are not real legal tender in the land of the free which is as we all know a christian enclave. Also, if you hold the coin up to the sun at the right angle it will burn a hole in the atmosphere, setting the world on fire and we will wander in a desert for 40 years as punishment for not putting the damn inscription on the coin.

My friday afternoon attempt at christian logic.

5. You are so very kind my Friend
We have so much material to work with. Sometimes I even get away with ending a sentence in a preposition.

4. It's not a rare variety.
Proof versions of the dollar will have the edge lettering put on as part of the minting process, and will always be facing "up." Business strikes (the ones for circulation) are lettered after the fact and there is a 50-50 chance that the letters will be facing down when looking at the obverse (heads) side.
