I was just watching CNN. Their reporter in Brazil used "strongman" and said that Chavez was paying demonstrators.
Such terms are never used when referring to the Saudi royals.
By the way, how did the public executions go today in Saudi Arabia?

3. He is President Chavez. Period. |
|
It makes me sick that I have more faith in Venezuelan elections than U.S. elections.

6. It's abominable how they kiss the asses of 'royalty' and slander elected heads of state. |
|
There's probably no more despicable class of human being than 'royals' ... and the Saud Family is truly the epitome of despicable. Yet the media gushes and drools over these nauseating people while smearing a President elected by 61% of the voters in his country. 'Corrupt' doesn't even begin to describe the rot.

8. It's just standard demonisation. |
|
A couple of years ago a "Warlord" turned into "General" when the US found out that they could use the guy. He was probably spat out soon after.

11. I think dictator is next. |
|
He's ruling by decree. He's a despot, and like Hitler and Mussolini, his people support the strongman rule instead of democratic rule. It's sad.

critics. I guess Chavez paid for demonstrations in Italy, Germany, Australia and everywhere else. Ah well.
