A note to Randi RE impeachment

What seemed doable last summer is different to what seems doable now. Credit the will of the people, blowing the Rove machine out of office with a fury.

Similarly, do not undersell the desperate straits the GOP will be in by the time the long hot summer becomes the autumn of disintegration for the tripartate coalition of conservatism.

They are looking at a violent nullification at the ballet box, not just for themselves, but for their entire philosophy. I think as the horrible scale of their upcoming disaster looms closer, they will joyously embrace throwing Bush under the bus.

If we build impeachment, they will come.

7. I appreciate her reasoning enormously. It may be irrelevant.

I think the Republican Party has become synonymous with madness, obsession, greed, destruction, and disorder. They can only save themselves by making the Leap -- some attempt at cleansing. To remain mired in this meme is permanent (three-generational) destruction for the cause of conservatism. I'm not sure they can bring themselves to make that leap and initiate impeachment-- but either way, this nightmare we've been in will end for awhile.

They do have a third choice -- kill or enslave us all. They cannot succeed, even if they could bring themselves so close to the Ulimate Irony of Them -- that they hate the United States of America -- to reach through to the other side and directly defy all that it means to be American.

I have long thought their weakness in thought and spirit would eventually betray them. Electronic election fraud was the key to prolonging this absurd state of affairs. It could not save them in November, and it will not save them in 2008, although it may still have an effect. Impeachment may not solve anything in a timely fashion -- I would personally prefer direct criminal prosecution. Nonetheless -- they have shown Madness, to all, as if it is Reason. It is their inner truth, unveiled.

They will not recover. (Unless -- that Third Choice -- do I understand them at all? Could they really try? I believe they are thinking it -- and Impeachment will not stop That.)

Note that Randi reasoned it through as poor Politics -- but expressed much willingness to embrace it emotionally (and spiritually), and looked forward to the coming unknown events that would propel us into it.

had me wondering what was up.....

I could only surmise that she was expressing fear that cornered rats will do ANYthing......but you are entirely right. They are cornered anyway. refusing to impeach will not save anyone. It would only prove cowardice.
