Ask him in what way you don't support them? You do pay your taxes which supports our military. On the other hand, you are not getting them shot and blown to pieces for no reason. You are not bankrupting out children. You are not throwing them to the wolves (or rats or cockroaches) when they get hurt and cannot fight anymore.

On edit: How 'bout this for a retort. "Fine. In that case I don't support them. Don't tell me I am being a shit heel, because they are not fighting for us, our safety or our freedom. I feel bad they are suffering and want to help them, but you're right, that's not the same as support. In what way to you support them besides putting a magnetic ribbon on your car?"

Then I realized she must watch little news, or FOX...which set me off on a rant the other day. Misinformation or non-information molds people like her into thinking a certain way and its very, very creepy. (Would I necessarily want her to think "our" way? Naah. Diverse POV's are healthy.
