Seriously! No shit, you should just browse through and read some of those posts.

I'm am very surprised, but I'm very hopeful at this moment.

If they can realize how bad this part of the Patriot Act is, there must be some type of hope for America.

:patriot: Today we learned of one more disturbing abuse of power, but yet we also learned that no matter how different we may be some times, there is a unifying overriding beauty in the freedom we share and enjoy.

just say, "Oooops, we didn't intend to ___________. It was a mistake." But, it would be after the fact, toooo late, damage done.

Even freepers have to be nervous about the jillion things that could fill the blank in the line above, things such as Industrial Spying amongst our Corporate Citizens.

6. They tend to get peevish, whenever they percieve that something...
...like gas prices or privacy issues, might have less than salutory effect on them. The difference, in this case, is that they can't wiggle out of placing the blame squarely at the feet of a president who they support.

When no amount of Clenis will wipe up the mess, it's fun to watch them melt down, but it's still an exercise in self-serving behavior on their part.

7. When did they figure out the Patriot Act was a bad thing?
Did they have a secret meeting?

Do they understand that they're responsible for this?

Floored.

8. Repubs CAN be right at times!
It's the issue and making the strongest ones get top priority, not toeing the party line, that needs to matter. Both sides could do better in that regard.
