instead, every time I have the opportunity or the need to speak of something I saw on the "news" or read in the "news" paper, I will refer to is as the "right wing media".
I plead with everyone, whether blogger, DU poster, Democratic politician, campaign official, campaign volunteer, party spokesperson, or anyone given the opportunity to appear on any TV show as part of an interview or panel, to make it a point to use the term "right wing media" to describe any media in any way. This should be among their main goals, to work in the terminology "right wing media" at some point into the conversation, discussion or interview. If and when the moderator of the discussion or an opposing panel member objects, the person should be able to recite a litany of examples of the "right wing media" showing favoritism towards a republican, ignoring the crimes of a republican, or reciting right wing talking point criticisms of a democrat. There are more than enough examples of this blatant partisanship shown by the "right wing media" and any 7-year old who knows how to spell "Google" can more than adequately arm himself against any argument to the contrary. Howard Dean should make it a directive that everyone who appears on behalf of the democratic party in any capacity work this term in. Every letter to the editor should have this term placed into the body of the letter. Every caller to a local or national call-in show should make it a point to refer to the "right wing media."
Therefore, I implore all DU'ers and everyone you know to no longer us the term "mainstream media" in any form, and instead replace it with "right wing media." After all, labeling the media as "liberal" seems to have worked out fine for the republicans and their Pavlovian dog, I.Q. challenged supporters, and they can't even back up their claims with the facts as we can.
