Funny line on MSNBC today re: Newt

I wasn't watching but listening so I don't know who said this but they were talking about Newt's newly acquired piety and some guy said "well three of these republican candidates have fooled around and by my count they have had nine wives between them and then there's the Mormon...he's the guy who's only had one!"

I've heard a similar quote attributed to him.

Heck, Romney himself may have said it. If so, it elevates Romney in my book, but not enough for me to consider voting for him.

Of course, I think some Mormons do have a sense of humor about the peculiarity attached to their religion. My husband and I were in Mormon country last spring, and they actually sell a beer called "Polygamy Porter" with taglines like "bring some home for the wives" and "why have just one"? They also sell stuff printed with the tagline "eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may be in Utah."
