IS Shrub EVER actually INVITED to the various Countries he visits,
or does he just contact the leaders and say "Hey, I'm coming"?

I am listening to Malloytonight, and he was talking about how the body language of some of these leaders in SA show they really don't want our idiot there, and will be very happy when he leaves. I've been thinking about that, and wondering just how he got there. I know he THINKS he's going to improve his image and legacy, but does anyone ever INVITE HIM?

1. Remember back when...
Our presidents were lauded like heroes and rock stars when they traveled abroad? (sigh)

2. The pres of Brasil is very left wing, a former union leader. if he said no, he
would have hell to pay with the US. I don't think they have much of a choice. All of these countries want to trade with the US. Interestingly enough, I was in Brasil 6 weeks ago, and the front page of national newspapers announced that Brasil now imports much more from China than from the US. It ahd been the US in first place for maybe 40 years...

17. sorry. Brazil with a z is the American spelling. in Portugese, in Brasil, it is spelled
with an s. I'm from there, and using the z is not done there. Brazil with a z, to Brazilians, infers an "American colonized' version of Brasil.

19. Thanks for the clarification,
I never knew that! I guess that's why Brasillia is spelled with an s?

6. Would you? He has to seem just as obnoxious and stupid to them as
well. His manners and his I.Q. don't improve as he crosses the border.

time to build that fence!"

I sure think it would be!

8. Maher has a peculiar way of being able to cut to the quick. And be dead
on at the same time.

That's hilarious.

9. and on a related note, I'd be way more keen about the new passport rules ...
... if GWB's documents somehow "went missing" and he were stranded outside the US, now that you need one to get back into the country if you're arriving by air.

Finding countries that'll allow him in for photo ops so he can try to drown out the ongoing bad news for his administration at home.
