Not that I grieve any less for her family if there's no relation.

15. I mourn for the needless loss
to her family and loved ones. I wonder what she was doing there, and hope my stepdaughter Stephanie doesn't get sent there. Steph will finish basic in April and then is planning on a years worth of language training in Monterey, but is already talking of the possibility of having to "go play in the sandbox."

I hope and pray and work night and day to end this senseless war.

31. get behind me!
Get it together dude. Take a plane, hitchhike, a train, a boat, walk, but stop shopping at WalMart! See it from another's perspective. Walk in their shoes. Represent the prophet you think you represent.

We invaded a learned country. We invaded a well fed and peaceful country. We have created hell. We are satan, moloch, mammon, belial.

Get behind me.

Read a book. It may burn to do so, but you'll get over it.

Perspective: In the bombing of a book market, a haven turns to ash
A charred body lies untouched as firefighters fight the smoldering flames

BAGHDAD, March 9 -- On a pile of bricks, someone had left a pink plastic flower, a pair of glasses and a book with crisp, white pages. They glowed in the black debris of Mutanabi Street, which by Friday had become a graveyard of memories. At 9:03 a.m., a man in a rumpled brown suit walked past dark banners mourning the dead. He stopped near the flower and the book, which was opened to a chapter on the virtues of Baghdad.

"There is no God but God," he said, his voice disappearing in the cracking sound of a shovel against debris. He stared at the gutted bookshops, hollowed like skulls by the blast and the flames. He lowered his head, fighting back tears.

Then he turned and walked away.

On Friday morning, Iraqis continued to drift to Mutanabi Street, four days after a car bomb took the lives of at least 26 people and injured dozens more. Some came to hunt for the remains of loved ones. Others came to mourn a street that represented the intellectual soul of a nation known for its love affair with books. For many, the narrow warren of shops had seemed to defy Iraq's woes.

28. Holy Mary, Mother Of God
How many more people have to DIE in this war?

How many more?

And where are the little Bush sluts in all of this? They're about that age, aren't they? Why aren't THEY in uniform, over in Iraq?

We need to start a movement here, people, to get those little bimboes over there serving their country in the war that their precious Daddy started.

Ordinarily, I would never advocate anyone going over to Iraq, but for the Bush sluts, I will make an exception.

I'm not sad about this soldier. I'm goddamned MAD.

I have a million smiling photos like this one of my brother and his fellow soldiers. It makes me sick to my stomach.

29. Notification in Stars & Stripes here:
Bush got a lot of mileage from 9/11, though I think the mystic has been wearing off considering how he's now grappling to find troops that are ready to go back to Iraq. But by far the numbers of US dead are under 30, at least lately.

>>>>>>>>>>>

The Pentagon has identified three sergeants from the Bamberg, Germany-based 630th Military Police Company who were killed in Iraq last week.

Sgt. Brandon A. Parr, Sgt. Michael C. Peek and Sgt. Ashly L. Moyer died March 3 in Baghdad when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle, a Department of Defense press release stated.

“He felt it was something he had to do — 9/11 was his motivation to join the Army,” Parr’s wife, Shannah, was quoted as saying in an NBC affiliate KLH report in Salt Lake City. Parr, 25, was from West Valley, Utah. He also is survived by a 4-year-old son, Nicholas, and mother, Teota Dangel. Parr was on his second Iraq deployment.

Peek, a 23-year-old from Chesapeake, Va., was set to get married in a month, according to his MySpace page.

“The big number is … the number of months I have till I say, ‘I do’ for the first and last time of my life,” Peek wrote, following later with, “Right now I have to fight early mornings and late nights here in Iraq, but that is a little price to pay to be part of the best country in the world.”

What a waste, just like Ashly.

I admit to some sexism here. The loss of anybody is terrible in a war, but when we start sending pretty young girls into the shit.... there's no hope.

And for nothing!
