WOLF's Interview of Cheney is becoming lame in retrospect
With all of these disclosures about Cheney's personal involvement and knowledge, his hands' on control over the Plame issues, it is clear that Wolf's allegedly harsh treatment of the presi - oops, VICE president was nothing more than a distracting floor show. Darth set it up for two reasons: a) to support the president's miserable SOTU performance (except for the kiss) b) to show up in public and discuss everything but PLame, taking the media attention away from it and from him.

I don't know how well he succeeded, other than to tell Wolf that he won't say anything on the issue. But as always, everything this administration has done with pr &spin, not reality, in mind.

1. Of course!
Hadn't thought that much about it, since I don't have cable TV, but from what I've read and seen here, your analysis makes sense. And you are correct, EVERYTHING they do is to spin and lie and hide and cheat. But you know, it must be really bad for Cheney that he made a big deal over the question about his daughter Mary. And don't tell me he didn't know it was coming--I'm sure he had a list of what was to be asked beforehand. But Mary and the baby provides a nice distraction from the Libby case, and makes him look like a sympathetic character--"oooh", the freepers will say, "lookit the bad man Fitzgerald making a grampaw feel sad!"
