3. Impeach Gonzales if bush won't "oust" him. Gonzales first, then Cheney then bush.

4. I've been saying this on every story about this, but I'll say it again:
This "overblown personnel matter" is becoming a lot like that "third rate burglary".

(That overblown bit is from AG Gonzales own Op-Ed in USA Today:
http://www.usatoday.com/printedition/news/20070307/oppose07.art.htm )

5. He should have never been confirmed
He was obviously unfit for the position from the beginning, but this must have been one of the times we were "keeping our powder dry", yet again. All it gave us was two right-wing zealots on the SCOTUS, and Alberto Gonzales, who has always reminded me of a kid willing to blow up frogs, along with Bush. They both make my skin crawl.

8. Great editorial. Too bad they had to add the Arlen Specter comment, though.
I wish he had the passion of Don Quixote, but unfortunately he justs tilts at windmills for the show. When put up to a vote, he will pack up his spear and ride in the other direction.

I've noticed the same with my own Joe Biden many times too.

10. Humm...the NYT spikes the debate "bulge" story, sits on the NSA spying story...
-- until after the 2004 elections-- and now, in 2007 with Bush safely re-elected, weighs in against Bush's hand-picked AG.

For f#*# sakes... where was this "bold" journalism in 2004, when we could have saved our country?

11. Dismiss and appoint - if left to Bush and Cheney, it will be Bork.
Revenge is the name of the game. Revenge on a person. Revenge on a nation. Revenge on a political pary - or at least the ones who don't sit with Republicans while they silence, swing their axe, and slip things in to things.

13. Ruben NAVARRETTE, that other houseboy
claimed that his nomination showed Shrub as more responsive to Hispanics than Dems, that GONZALES ought to be EASILY confirmed JUST BECAUSE he is Hispanic (a racist argument), and that once he was in office, NAVARRETTE would monitor him closely and be the first to call him out on lapses. Yeah, right, like O.J. is exhaustively searching for the killer.

NAVARRETTE is one of those Affirmative Action alumni, like Clarence, who somehow become wingnuts at those "Liberal" colleges.

Our response to the wingnut ploy of fielding Minority members as their own should be: We're against him because he's a WINGNUT, nothing to do with his ethnicity. NEGROPONTE, Otto REICH, and all those 1st generation CIA-Cuban Exiles are Hispanics, too, and that doesn't make them immune from our opposition.

remove him from office.

He's critical to the team effort to destroy our government and nation.

The New York Times has a long way to go in repairing the harm their negligence has abetted. Better get cracking, guys.

band wagon once it's rolling is no big deal. These people are supposed to be the starters of band wagons.
