There was only one thing he left out...
A promise to hold the criminals responsible for this shit pile we have to clean up.

One mention, that's all I wanted. One promise for justice. Maybe I missed it.

Oh, yeah, I'm no longer voting against McCain, I'm now voting for Obama.

2. Let's get him elected first.
Don't make him tip his entire hand and risk a firestorm before he's even in office.

. . . sitting across from him with a good hand and he flashes that smile at you. You wouldn't know what to think.

27. Scary for the reTHUGs.

Disclaimer: Henceforward, my use of the term "reTHUG" refers only to those members of the Republican electorate that obstinately cling to PNAC warmongering and fearmongering, Strausian neoconservatism, Xtianist dominionism, anti-choice misogyny, homophobic discrimination, blatant and covert racism, hypocrisy, and Rovian smear/fear tactics.

10. We have always believed that the Telcos should have immunity...
and that FISA was quaint, needing an update so badly that it required that "compromise".

8. Now is not a good time to appear divisive.

Notice I said 'appear' divisive. Yes, the BushCo gang of thieves and liars should be held accountable for all their many crimes over the past eight years. Hopefully we will hear more about this after November.

Does anyone there have the will... or the guts? Interesting question.

14. I've seen 2 prior Democratic administrations sweep the criminals under the rug...
I'm running short on patience, weed-leaper!

I can understand the strategic reasoning, but I need the reassurance it will not be ignored.

13. I'm with you. I want these criminals held
accountable. And I want a real 9/11 investigation - one that's properly funded, leaves no stone unturned, and assigns blame. The 9/11 families and the people of this nation deserve no less.

Working to get Obama elected with a strong Democratic majority in Congress is still job one. Can't put the cart before the horse.

20. Oh, yeah. That's the way to restore our reputation!
Make the rest of the world clean up our house. The ICC will not prosecute if there is a chance of the host country holding the criminal responsible. If they are pardoned, then the ICC can come into play. Until then it is our responsibility.

23. An excellent speech from an excellent candidate.
I too sought to hear any of these few words used: Justice, truth, reckoning, accounting.

When this man becomes President I sincerely hope that justice and truth are more than mere guiding principles.

A great many large tasks lie ahead of this nation, it is critical that they be accomplished.

It is of extreme importance that justice is at the core of our actions.

The last eight years have been a more than adequate showing of what happens when injustice is at the core of our actions.
