3. reminds of a turkey story I read in the papers years ago
massachusetts wanted to repopulate a small island off the coast with wild turkeys

so they rounded up 12 wild turkeys, dropped them on the island. A year later they go back to see how the turkeys have done.

there were still 12 turkeys, they were puzzled - there should be at least a few more by then. Why weren't the turkeys nesting and breeding?

they rounded up the turkeys for an examination

much to their surprise - the turkeys were all male.

4. That's soooo stupid!
Geeze, I mean with polar bears, I can almost understand not wanting to inspect them for the proper genitalia, but TURKEYS?!?!?!?!?!
You can tell a bird's gender by its plumage.
Males have more 'colorful' plumage, and females are more drab.
Don't tell me that they put immature turkeys on the island too, that would be doubly stupid!
