Bush's S. American ethanol triumph hasn't won many hearts or headlines.
Bob Schieffer's preview clip of FACE THE NATION mentioned Democrats' efforts to wind down the war, Bush's request to send more troops, and "What's going on at the Justice Department" as topics.

1. Hard to take an PNAC loving oil man seriously when he talks about alternative fuel.
Especially when he started a war meant to destabalize the middle east and eventually take over the region's oil supply.

2. But..but...it's not about OIL! It's about disposing that evil Saddam Hussein!
It's about bringing democracy to the Middle East!

Freedom on the march!

Mission accomplished!

That's why the Bush administration oversaw torture at Abu Graib -- so you and I wouldn't have to be blown up by terrorists in Little Rock and Toledo.

Be grateful!

9. Especially when he's talking about a nation with 3% the number of cars we have
Somehow, that makes the Brazilian success at bringing ethanol to every pump and engine in the land a little less, I dunno, applicable to the situation here in the States.

Oh, and did I mention the utterly apples & oranges mismatch of comparing growing corn on the High Plains with growing sugar cane in the tropics?

I mean, if Brazil held the first presidential caucus this might start to make sense, at least politically.

Maybe.

3. The little Tyrant is running scared like he did the day of the WTC, I won't forget that either
he knows full well what he is doing and has done is against American and International laws. I am taking great pleasure in being a witness to the fall of an American pResident, he's going down as sure as I'm sitting here typing

4. Hi, madokie. Yes -- if this Gonzales dust-up has legs, this
presidency will take yet another hit. A big one.

And it's all of Bush's own doing. He creates his own landscapes for failure.

6. I'm thinking the same.
Any Tom, Dick, or Harry who's been watching media this past week isn't likely to see that much about Bush's trip to South America.

Or any Rich, David, and Derrick.

Or Hannah, Louise, and Charlene.

Whoever it might be.
