and Schieffer hasn't brought it up. It's all about Command and "paperwork" but no mention of the downsizing of employees and the stripping of "support" systems.

Why no mention of Privatization? Too hot to get into? Anyway, McCaskill is a very good spokesperson.

Schieffer has a good show on, btw. Schumer and Specter were on and Schieffer called for Gonzales to step down.

1. Yeah! Exactly! Same for Dana Priest on MTP.
I was thinking the exact same thing when Dana Priest was talking on Meet the Press...why no mention of privatization? That is a HUGE story! Maybe they were threatened if they spoke out about it?

:wtf:

3. Well I am sure
I will get flamed for this, but: Clinton was a huge privatizer as well. The Dems won't mention privatization, because sadly too many support it. It is a DLC scheme. Don't count on the government taking control of our armed forces again anytime soon. The Dems will probably just pass some sort of weak regulation if that..it's all for TV.

4. That bothered me too. Also at the end, on a different topic, he mentioned the Plame investigation

and how for all the money that was spent, and the years, the public was never given the full story by Fitzgerald..leaving it up in the air as to whether the original crime that was investigated, was ever committed.

He is damn right about that.
