He got Bush off a DWI jury while he was guv-nah, after all. He put his law license on the line for the Monkey.

Such loyalty MUST be rewarded in Bushville....

He has to be the one who was responsible for giving Bush all the leeway he could find to do his snooping and satisfy his lust for torture. Problem is, there are probably duplicates waiting behind the curtain who could be as bad or worse. Hopefully, they won't have that nauseating grin as they lie to Congress.

His nomination should have never even been reported out of committee to the full Senate. He should have been voted down in Judiciary.

We already knew what he was about. He called the Geneva Conventions "quaint" and "obsolete," thus setting the stage for the torture at Abu Gharib.

He helped Bush keep his DUI quiet when Bush reported for jury duty in Texas when he was Governor.

And there's so much more. But that alone should have disqualified him.

5. Every day Gonzales is allowed to stay in office is an

insult to the concept of democracy in America. He has given constitutional cover to Bush for his crimes as relates to spying and the loss of heabeus corpus. In a cabinet which displays great genius for criminal opinions and activities, Gonzales manages to win the prize for the most obnoxious, with the possible exception of Cheney. If Gonzales and Condie Rice among others are allowed to serve out their terms and retire to lucrative private careers without consequences I cannot conceive of the bad precedent this would set for the future.
