The extreme end of stubbornness



Developers came and bought up all the houses around these guys. They refused. The bulldozers came anyways.

Apparently the family has government connections, and is not expected to be forced out.

That kind of excavation requires more than a few permits and would have trampled on easements and services connections. Would like to know the rest of the story...

3. I was thinking the same thing. Perhaps outside the US?
Right of way easements alone would prevent that from happening here.
