Famed trackers to join Osama hunt

AN elite group of Native American trackers is joining the hunt for terrorists crossing Afghanistan's borders.

The unit, the Shadow Wolves, was recruited from several tribes, including the Navajo, Sioux, Lakota and Apache. It is being sent to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan to pass on ancestral sign-reading skills to local border units.

In recent years, members of the Shadow Wolves have mainly tracked smugglers along the US border with Mexico.

But the Taliban's resurgence in Afghanistan and the US military's failure to hunt down Osama bin Laden - still at large on his 50th birthday on Saturday - has prompted the Pentagon to requisition them.

Stop being their pawns. Don't you remember the fates of the several Apache and other Plains trackers who helped to facilitate the extermination and removal of other Native Tribes.

Fuck this administration, do not do their bidding. If they hate OBL so bad they can find him. They have already had, what, 2000 days to look for him. Do you think that they will give a damn if something should happen to you over in Afghanistan? Stay home and help your own people stand up against the encroachment of corporations onto the First Nation's land to take their water and other property.

just as they were closing in on Bin Laden they were re-directed to the clusterfuck in Iraq where OBL,WMD & terrorists weren't. They were replaced by the 10th SFG (Eastern Europe specialists), to recap, the Arabic specialists were sent to Iraq from Afghanistan and replaced by lots of SF troops fluent in Serbo-Crost and Lithuanian.
