Pessimistic or Optimistic?

“O woe is me.
We're doomed.
This administration can't be stopped.
They're gross criminals.
Just look at all the bad they've done to our economy,
international goodwill, general collective morale: (the list goes on).
What's to be done for the poor souls such as We?
It doesn't seem to make any difference voicing my opinions.
I'm leaving.”

Or:

“Them bastards!
Look at all they've done!
Let's get 'em!!
Put a stop to this shit!”

Either way, 'they' control us.
We're either describing the crimes, or fighting them.

In a martial arts class I took a couple of decades ago, the sensei told me that,
“getting Even robs from Seeing.”

I'm still trying to figure out how that fits the current paradigm.

One must be aware of any danger.

How to make it go away without violence?
I, a 66 year old ex-marine, am ready, with my 'V' face and black hoody.

1. Cynical.
Which seems to be the only sensible way to look at things. And, an absolute necessity when looking at politics.

2. Optimistic.
Pessimism only leads to fatalism, which hinders reform and progress.

3. "Pessimism Is A Path To The Dark Side!"
If Yoda were alive, that is what he would say.
