I like being an I told you so....
Let's face it, we got our clocks cleaned again politically by Karl Rove and the right on the VP choice.
Of course Palin's unqualified, but that doesn't matter in elections - ONLY winning matters.
No amount of handwringing is going to change that fact that McCain will probably carry the popular vote unless Barr gets >5% of the vote.

Obama's key message was CHANGE & instead of Bayh or Clark or another change agent, he went with Biden, AGAINST my advice.
Rove also defused Biden's wit, charm & attacking by immediately portraying Palin as the unassailable hot soccer mom political outsider.
It's brilliant politics & we should concede that, and try to move on.

The only chance Obama now has is to pour millions & millions into those 5 states that matter, pump up Barr's candidacy, look presidential in the debates, & forget about attacking. Every other word out of his mouth should be Bush/McCain, Bush/McCain without nagging or criticizing - just remind them if they want four more years to vote for McCain. Ignore PALIN. Rove WANTS you to make the election about her. She is a diversion, a superbly crafted straw woman - she must be ignored as much as possible despite all the temptations we have to assail her & her record.

We lost the last 2 elections by one state. When will this party learn? We have to scare voters too!!

We need ads that show women getting sick & septic from backroom abortions - a single coat hanger dripping with blood w/ female voice over.
We need an ad showing a rape victim unable to talk about abortion with a rape counselor.
We need ads that show McCain fumbling with words & looking old & tired.
We need ads that show rows of coffins with oil/bullets being poured into them by McCain while he sings Bomb Iran.

The only way to win in this vicious, selfish society is to appeal to the fear & greed of this electorate. Get real.

26. Lol!
Undoubtedly, when political history is written, the infamous "Failure to Consult ClarkBayh2008 Blunder" will go down as the major turning point of this election.

3. Bayh is a change agent?
You have got to be kidding me!

If you think Bayh would have changed anything, I think your assessment is dead wrong. I don't think Clark would have done any better against Palin either.

8. Bayh is little more than a legacy..no charisma
Clark is a great military strategist, but not so hot as a politician

Obama could NOT choose Hillary, even if he had wanted her to be his vp.. The only way he could have chosen her, was if she had gracefully bowed out EARLY, and had not gone racial..

Biden was as good of a choice as anyone...I preferred Janet Napolitano, but had he done that, Mccain would not have chosen Palin, and the "only Hillary" folks would have still been pissed at Obama..

We need to start having our convention AFTER they have theirs, and chosing OUR runningmates based on whom they chose..

By going first, we allow them to see our playbook, and adjust accordingly..

11. What We We Do Without You???
:sarcasm:

Yep, those videos the anti-choicers showing of a baby being aborted has really gotten a lot of mileage. Not.

So damn them for not heeding the advice of someone on a message board. I'm sure you've got a lot of winning campaigns under your belt that they were just "begging" to hear what you had to say.

"We" didn't get our "clocks cleaned"...the polls I read still show Senator Obama leading in enough states to win the 270 electoral votes needed. The corporate media is the ones who this ruse was devised for and are still being played. The diversion is being played on them to babble 24/7 about anything but the issues and to attack Palin is to play right into both games.

So, why sit behind the keyboard...get out and let's see your resume in action...raise the money, organize the surrogates...you surely know it all. We must show "deference".

Sheesh...

12. I think Obama doesn't need advice from ClarkBayh2008.
Obama made a choice of VP based on electoral appeal, personal trust and the interests of the country.

Sucks that he didn't ask you, ClarkBayh2008. :sarcasm:
