More Men Report Sexual Harassment at Work

Defying assumptions about sexual harassment in the workplace, a record percentage of men reported being harassed by male colleagues last year, according to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Cases filed by men made up 15.4 percent of the 12,025 sexual harassment charges in fiscal year 2006, compared to 14.3 percent in 2005 and 11.6 percent a decade ago, according to the EEOC.

but reading the article it implies (without actually saying it) that what they are talking about is incidents of gay bashing, taunting of gays or suspected gays.

Now THAT doesn't surprise me.

2. What, you think gays and lesbians are saints? No, they're subject

to the usual human foibles.

One of my relatives was harassed (subject to repeated overtures) by a (presumably) gay boss, years ago. He ended up finding another job.

As the article states, the majority of these cases appear to involved the harassment of gay employees by straight bosses. I'm just saying that the reverse happens, too, and that shouldn't be shocking.
