He had his own comic book series, and his own TV show during the fifties. He appeared with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Hopalong Cassidy, Wild Bill Elliot, Buck Jones, Ken Maynard, Bob Steele, and others. No doubt a movie star. Fred Thompson, not so much.
