2. You aren't the only one...
I feel that way and a lot of others I know. I also hear it more and more from others who are waking up to the reality of the neocons and Bushworld...More and more it seems as though everything is out of control just going to the grocery store, shopping, and interactions on the phone. It seems as though up is down and down is up...

3. Or throw something...
at a wall or something...not at a living thing! :-) This will get better, it has to or we'll all be living in burkers.

4. Hi, greenbriar. I'm sorry today hasn't been a good one for you, and
wanted to offer a couple of notions. Discard them if they don't work for you, but here they are:

When you're posting on these boards you're around people you likely agree with on issues most of the time, even if out in officeland and neighborhoodworld and at the grocery store people still think Dubya is a compassionate Chrisian conservative. There may be no help for those people.

The other is from American writer Paul Horgan, who says (I'm paraphrasing, but close), "While admitting to the worst of all possible worlds we must behave as if we were the best of all possible people."

You're among friends around here, and in November 2008 there's gonna be more blue states than red on that electoral map.

5. Don't get mad,
get even. ;-)

Seriously, all we can do is what we can do and then we have to let go. There's still a lot to live for and be thankful for.

6. I'm biased but
I'd encourage you when you reach that point to come visit us up north - especially Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal - remind yourself that everything you want to accomplish is doable - we've got national health care, without breaking the bank (the taxes aren't as bad as you think), we've got gay marriage and God hasn't struck us down, and one of the things that drew me to Toronto is that there are over 130 languages spoken here. We have Jewsih people and Palistinians, Muslims and Christians, Shia and Sunni and Kurd, and everything else you can think of all living side by side, virtually without incident and all working together to make a better country (and world) - it's not perfect, but I think you'd find it a refreshing break from what's going on down there.

8. I actually had a good day due to crime.
Edited on Mon Mar-12-07 09:26 PM by lonestarnot
Some criminals screwed up our office early this morning, there was no power so we had to take the day off. I had a nice lunch with a friend and a cocktail, then got sleepy and took a nap.
