There it is again, just heard it...Andrea Mitchell, Hardball -
"polling indicates that most Americans want Scooter Libby Pardoned" One hour agon CNN showed that nearly 70% did NOT think he should be pardoned. Either Mitchell is a barely concealed, lying right wing schill, or she is a horrible reporter. Choice A, or choice B? Or is it C - that the right wing rove machine...whoops, noise machine...decides what gets stated on the air?

2. Just sent off an e-mail...
Andrea Mitchell, Hardball just now:

They're going to try to really tamp this down and appeal to the polling which indicates that most people think, in fact, that he should be pardoned. Scooter Libby should be pardoned.

CNN poll says 18% support pardon.

Is this a new brand of "truthiness"? 18% support a pardon. That's it. That's reality.
I guess "middle America" gets it. A crime was committed. No more passes, Andrea. Good luck with that "tamp this down" strategy. BWAHAHAHAHA. Pathetic.

3. She can't help it...
...she's friends with all these people and she doesn't want to testify at a new trial.

A pardon would solve all her problems too.

She should not be reporting on this subject - it's unethical.

9. AGREED! And *ucker Carlson, too
His dad was behind the fundraising operation for Scooter. Where's NBC's "conflicts committee"? I think Russert pretty much kept away from commenting on the Libby mess (that's about the ONLY thing I'll give Tiny Tim credit for), but these other people with obvious conflicts ought to SHUT THE F*** UP! Report the NEWS, not your own personal PREFERENCE!

15. You're right....
...Tucker is horrible - I can't watch him.

You know who surprised me on Sunday was Tony Blankley on the McLaughlin Group.

He actually said that perjury is a serious offense, that the evidence was compelling that Libby lied and that he must have lied for a reason. That being said, he said Libby would not give Fitzgerald more info on say...Cheney...because he lied for a reason.

I was shocked!

Edited on Mon Mar-12-07 06:43 PM by rec_report
1) No pardon or 2) Pardon Libby and get to the 'real crooks,' so a lot of folks want them to get to the 'real crooks,' (Cheney and Bush), so that they vote for the pardon!
