I have health insurance (if you want to call it that now). I've been with my job for over ten years. I used to go to the doctor for free all expenses paid. Since ** took office all that has changed. I now pay $25 per visit. Plus, I pay 15% of any doctor bills, specialist bills. So if my primary doc order X Rays, I pay to see my doc, then I pay for the other doc to look at the XRays, plus I pay for both doctor's use of the hospital facilities that they are associated with. I have paid several thousand dollars in the past few months for what used to be free.
Then there's the billing which I can't make heads or tails of. The insurance company sends me statements of what they deny which I also have to pay. (You never know what they will deny until after you do it.) Each doctor, some I never see face to face, bill me individually. Then the hospital bills me. I am pulling my hair out trying to make sense of all these fricking statements--none of them are cumulative, or tell me what I've paid and what my balance is so I can pay before my credit is ruined. The way they bill, I could conceivably overpay and never know it.
Then there's gas--up $.60 in two months and I fully expect it to be up more than $1 a gallon by June. Property taxes up. Food up. I took a road trip over the weekend and bought snacks. A bag of Fritos that used to cost $1 now $2.49. My internet service costs doubled.
Maybe this doesn't bother some but I am tired of paying more and more for things every time I look around. I feel like somebody is reaching into my purse and stealing my money.
