Is it fascism yet?
This isn't in reference to one specific thing but rather to the over all (and to my over all battle fatigue). I need a lift and reminders of the fights we have won. I'm feeling a bit pessimistic right now and yearning to join my Canadian brethren. Remind me of why it is right and good to fight on.

Thank you.

2. My advice: Get your passport ready, but don't leave unless something horrific happens
Edited on Tue Mar-13-07 05:01 AM by Selatius
Your passport becomes useful for when the US initiates a violent solution with Iran. It's also useful if there's a mass casualty event on US soil and Bush declares martial law over metropolitan areas to "defend" these areas from more attacks by terrorists. There is no freedom of speech under martial law.

4. It is my friend
and one of the many reasons I moved to Seattle last year is because it is near Canada. One of my partners says that the city slogan should be "Seattle: It's Almost Canada!". Sure beats the one the city actually picked: "Seattle: It's Metronatural!" What the hell is Metronatural?

3. Yes it is!! This country was founded by fighting the tyranny of Britian;......
Edited on Tue Mar-13-07 05:04 AM by Double T
this country will be taken back by fighting the tyranny inside the beltway, in corporate america and on wall street. The American people still have the power but they are too lazy and complacent to know it or do anything with it. We need people like you to help take back our country from the filthy corrupt RW neocons and to get the job done!! Fight on and kick ass!!!

5. BushCo has always been fascism in action.
Frickin' textbook. It's the calling a spade a spade that's been the sticking point.

7. I guess what I was actually asking for was some feel good moments of recent
Scooter didn't really do it for me and helping to send the Coultergeist back to the mudpit she wallows in didn't really do it for me. While I understand that Congress works slowly and sometimes rather opaquely, I'm wanting a bone. Yeah, I'm being momentarily selfish and self indulgent.

Certainly in the big picture, those are the most important reasons and I'm certainly too much of a patriot not to recognize that. But tonight, I'm a grumpy patriot. I want to vote somebody off the island and I don't seem to have the clout.
