Bush sr. describes fainting episode - friend had to give him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation

Bush '41's Mouth-To-Mouth

ABC's Jake Whitman Reports: Former President George H.W. Bush was in good spirits last night in Los Angeles, a day after being hospitalized for a fainting spell on the golf course.

Bush used a cane to walk on stage before delivering a lecture at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.

The former President recalled Sunday's health scare, saying it began when he started to feel tired, and "the next thing I remember... I'd fainted and I was on the floor."

Bush then joked, "And the ugliest part was my dear friend from Las Vegas, Sig Rogich, was giving me mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, and had about six beautiful girls there and there was Sig doing his part."

Bush was speaking of his friend Sig Rogich, one of his long-time political advisors.

1. Um. Did Poppy stop breathing?
Or did Sig decide to seize the day?

4. I was wondering the same thing. If he actually stopped breathing,
isn't that a little more serious than just fainting?

13. Sure is. If that's true, then this was way more than just a "fainting spell".
Of course, the whole "mouth to mouth" story may just
be BS- a little anecdote to warm up the crowd.

23. Adults seldom quit breathing
for no reason unless it is proceeded by a cardiac event.

Why do some "liberals" think all Republicans are gay? Seriously, most of them aren't. Stop trying to give them to the "gay community."

Comments like that are no better than Anne Coulter calling Edwards a "faggot." Something for you to think about.

25. No. The Bush's live part-time in Houston in a very large home in the Memorial area.
But then he may have an apartment just to get away from Babs. :)
