Man Charged With Punching Pit Bull Puppy
http://www.wbaltv.com/cnn-news/17481592/detail.html#

WALKERSVILLE, Md. -- Frederick County authorities have arrested a man who they said punched a pit bull puppy, fracturing its skull and blinding the animal.

Troy D. Goines, of Frederick, has been charged with felony and misdemeanor animal cruelty. He is being held on $20,000 bail after his arrest.

According to charging documents, Goines punched the dog in Discovery, a Walkersville subdivision, on Aug. 2.

The Frederick Post reported that court documents don't state what prompted an argument that led to the dog being punched.

Daniel Eaton was holding the 5-pound puppy at the intersection of Treasure Avenue and Discovery Boulevard when Goines and Tracy Frost approached Eaton and Chasity Rice, the paper reported.

Rice and Frost exchanged words, and Frost hit Rice in the face and knocked her to the ground, according to the report.

Goines then hit the dog with a closed fist, knocking Eaton and the puppy down, authorities said.

The dog's owner agreed to have it euthanized after its condition deteriorated.

Goines was arrested last week, the newspaper said. Trial is set for Nov. 6 in District Court.

:wtf: is wrong with people.

3. No respect for life, his own or anybody else's.
Far too common these days, particularly in our inner cities.

5. Watch out, you'll be accused of racism.
You're correct, though. And I think it has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with institutionalized racism, history, poverty, and other cultural factors.

6. Well, before they do...
I hope they note that the same damn thing goes for the whites who live in my neighborhood. It's just indicative of inner city culture, plain and simple.

Are you indicative of whatever shithole you live in?

14. Sure, to some extent.
It affects everyone. The enthusiasm for Obama has made a bit of a difference though. Having the hope that he might get elected and change might come has really changed the mood of my neighborhood.

11. Yep, sure enough.
Inner city culture is NOT divided along racial lines. Too many people of ALL colors are acting like fools.

But can we really blame them? Well, yes... but not without first recognizing that their attitudes are created by the conditions they live in (and vice-versa). It's a vicious circle.

21. Did this incident occur in the inner city?
The article said it occured in a subdivision.
In my area, subdivisions are suburban phenomena.

Therefore, it's indicative of what people do in the black neighborhoods.

30. Yeah, don't even try that shit.
I don't appreciate words being put in my mouth.

You're the one who assumed my statement could only apply to a black man, not me. Think about that.

32. Riiiiight.
You thought the guy who punched the puppy was indicative of people in the "inner city", even though there was no connection to the "inner city."

Sure. Uh huh.

10. Have you ever watched Lock-Up?
It's actually quite fascinating. In any case, rapists, pedophiles and animal abusers are at the absolute bottom of the prison food chain. If this guy goes in, it ain't gonna be pleasant.

12. Someone should punch him in the face until he goes blind..
So he can see how it feels.

Just as Vick should be hung until he almost passes out and dunked in water until he nearly drowns and then electrocuted....This should all happen if and when he is allowed to play football again and performs badly.

People that harm animals have no soul..HMMMM Palin shots wolves doesn't she?!

7. OK, I could see someone punching a full grown pit bull, if it was attacking you
That's just self defense. But a 5 pound puppy?? And he hit the poor thing hard enough to knock down the human holding it??

And his friend punches women in the face?

Shit, lock them both up and throw away the key. :puke:
