Since when are public officials "like CEOs"?
I'm sick of these people acting they are in a business or corporation. THEY ARENT CEOs. They are public figures either elected or selected. This delegation bullcrap also has to stop. Its always the same "Oh, i'm sorry this happened, but I didnt know about it. But I'll figure out who did it!".

These creeps are briefed daily on the goings on. Too bad they aren't CEOs, cuz their stock would be worth ZERO.

2. Since they started taking money from people like CEOs.
Many of these congresscritters are millionaires with their own firms and partnerships to go back to when they leave office. They have connections in the business world. Dick Cheney is perhaps the greatest example of this. The poorest representative is probably somebody like Dennis Kucinich, but there's not as much money in representing poor people as there is in representing the interests of wealthy elites.

3. From the moment Bush said "I'll run America like a business."
But you have to look at how business works. Record companies buy shelf space at FYE. Coke buys shelf space at your grocery store. Payola and bribery used to make Americans think something is popular.

Bush used "I'll run America like a business" as his stump speech. Trouble is, people are fooled by Coke and FYE...why did anyone expect American's to understand why this was NOT a good thing?

5. This bunch sure is
Bu$h/Crashcart is the most "CEO" like administration ever. They have treated America like a corporation. Outsourced it, stripped it of it's assets, gotten filthy rich while utterly failing and managed to divert the blame for the whole thing.

Yup, sounds like typical CEO tactics to me.

8. Since they sold us that bill of goods in 99
Edited on Tue Mar-13-07 02:18 PM by Moochy
Our first "CEO" president, they sold the right this bill of goods.. We were warned weren't we?

It speaks to the absolute dogmatic faith in the corporation at the time, as a noble manifestation of the proper divine order.

Here's a novel idea, How about running the country like a country, instead of as an oil futures hedge fund against total us economic collapse.

9. Do we want our government run like a business?
Businesses are focused on selling products to make a profit for their stockholders. That's not what government does. I'm all for efficiency, but not for Enron type business management. This administration is selling off assets, outsourcing responsibility, and raiding the corporate Treasury. We, the stockholders, are getting fleeced. If our government was run like a business, why can't we have the CEO arrested for criminal defrauding?
