La Liz Taylor give Hillary $100,000,00
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070125/pl_nm/taylor_dc_2

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Elizabeth Taylor likes the way Hillary Rodham Clinton thinks and that is worth a check for $100,000.

While the rest of Hollywood starts to choose sides in the 2008 U.S. presidential race, Taylor has already picked the New York Democratic senator as her favorite candidate and written her a $100,000 check for the campaign.

In a statement released on Thursday, the actress said, "I have contributed to Sen. Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign because she has a mind of her own and a very strong one at that.

Insert .... "Well SHE was married to Warner at one point!" Remark here.

4. It's against my religion to tell Elizabeth Taylor what to do.
Elizabeth Taylor is entitled to her presidential campaign choice and I'm not getting in the way.

At the same time, I will maintain my genuine respect for Elizabeth Taylor as an actress and a spectacular soul while choosing another presidential candidate as a first-choice fr 2008.

If anybody on these boards hasn't seen Elizabeth Taylor as Martha in WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, rent it immediately. She'll knock you out.

14. does Liz have a PAC?
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 06:47 PM by Herman Munster
Maybe she's going to give it to Emily's List or something.

Liz could also gift $2,100 to 50 of her friends and then have them contribute the money to Hillary individually in their name.

15. The story is in error
Edited on Thu Jan-25-07 07:02 PM by creeksneakers2
Actually, Liz gave $2,100, the legal limit. The $100,000 figure was attributed to a mistake by Taylor's spokesperson.

10. On February 10th, Obama will pocket millions.
The triumvirate has decided to throw a glitzy fundraiser: Spielberg, Geffen and Katzenberg. That's also the day Senator Obama will formally announce his presidential intentions. That is before Oprah weighs in too. So yep, Hillary's 100,000 for Hollywood's old guard is good.

Since I am a Clark fan I am enjoying the fact that money is being raised and Hillary has to compete in areas for it that once she thought were all hers...

21. I agree.
I am thrilled that Obama is giving HRC a run for her money (double entendre intended). At the very least, real competition will hone better candidates.

Gobama.

Matt Damon and others are interested in oops I meant Obama. New money not available to Hillary will come out for Obama too. Clooney is an Obama fan.

And of course, I'd go with Clarkama myself. ;)
