We need to start a Telegram campaign. 1,000,000 telegrams to Congress!!!

Someone brought up on another thread the idea of sending telegrams to Congress. Apparently Nixon received 50,000 telegrams telling him to resign the day after the Saturday night massacre according to this poster. I was too young and don't remember.

Just imagine 1,000,000 telegrams to congress calling for impeachment. We can start with Gonzales.

I seem to remember a story in the last year or so saying Western Union had shut down it's telegram operations. Or were you being metaphorical?

3. You are right. I didn't know that.

They were discontinued in January of this year. I updated the message with a new link of a company that delivers telegrams.

I thought my father would have another stroke when I mentioned that telegrams were no more.
He never sent or received one, but they were part of the world.

5. MONDAY would be a good day for it. I also think post cards

are good with a visual on 1 side- they aren't held up by the security, and more soldi/real/ bigger impact than an e-mail. You can print a pic on 4/6 inch cards, or just write in bold letters.
