Chuck Todd says "the Deal" is dead because the Rs can't get enough people to
sign on. That resolution of the bailout negotiations is falling through because of internal conflict in the Republican Party.

Interesting.

3. Darth Lord cheney went and had a closed door meeting with repukes,
and couldn't corral them. Many are against the "socialist bailout". I love it.(the goppers divided, not the bailout)

6. Does this imply the Dem leadership was all-aboard on the bailout?
That kind of scares me... If Dems cave into Bush's scare tactics, the Republicans will tie Dems/Obama to Bush and the bailout, then it's game over!

10. Switch
The house GOP is setting it up so McCain comes back and saves the day, getting them to sign on. There was a guy on CNN, didn't get his name but was a McCain surrogate who said "they absolutely need McCain back in Washington, without him they cannot save the 'day' McCain will get them back on track and get this bailout done and save the American people from another 'Great Depression." The GOP is holding out for their knight in shining armor to come riding in and show America his White Horse. Actually the "play" isn't too hard to figure out.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Bush is radio-active and the Repugs are shunning him, and it is trickling down to mess up a daylight robbery.
And by comparison, Obama is looking very wise and Presidential.
