2. Three weeks makes a big difference, eh?
--- Few of us,.... any of us,... would have even imagined how badly the last three weeks would have gone for the Bush White House. The same GOP senators who blocked the debate three weeks ago have now been slammed with the Walter Reed scandal, Cheney-gate, Pentagon rebellion, Gonzales' judicial conspiracy and a 600 point drop in the stock market. The direction of this administration (downward) is now set in stone,.... and we all know what rats do on a sinking ship.

4. No, there's a reason they want to proceed on this--it has to be
because they feel they have a position of strength, or they're comfortable with the idea of voting down this measure without harming their re-election chances. They never do anything that will go against the neocon plan. For some reason, they feel comfortable with how this will turn out, and that makes me nervous. Why was Warner-Levin so fucking dangerous to them, and this isn't?

6. I don't think any Repug Senator will vote for this--I just don't. Not
even the anti-war ones.
