Constitutional Question
This may be a silly question, but I don't know the answer so I thought I would come to you all. I was just struck by this thought, especially given the President's disregard for others, but if a law passes Congress and is signed by him, and he were then to issue an executive order saying either disregard the previous law or do the complete opposite, well, who wins?

I understand it would be a silly situation and he could just veto the offending, etc., but it was a matter of curiosity. And if I have something mistaken and this is an impossible situation because of my ignorance, please feel free to educate me. Thanks!

1. Good question...
EOs are supposed to be connected to an existing law, and their purpose is supposed to clarify the content of that law. You can't actually pass a law via EO (unless Congress was in on it), so I don't think you'd be able to nix one either.
