Damn Right, We're Angry
By :Paul Waldman is a senior fellow at Media Matters for America

We can’t deny it any longer. There’s no point in hiding it, no point in trying to explain it away. Yes, it’s true: We progressives are angry. And we no longer care if the centrist, moderate guardians of the establishment scold us for it.

Our anger is not just some vague feeling whose source we can’t put our finger on. It isn’t based on absurd conspiracy theories and it isn’t illogical.

We’re angry because of what has happened to our country, because of how we’ve been treated, and because of the innumerable crimes the conservatives have committed. We’re angry at the president, we’re angry at the Congress, we’re angry at the news media. And we have every right to be.

Yes, we’re angry at George W. Bush. We’re not angry at him because of who he sleeps with, and we’re not angry at him because we think he represents some socio-cultural movement we didn’t like 40 years ago, or because he hung out with a different crowd than we did in high school. We’re angry at him because of what he’s done.>>>>>snip

1. Right on!
Why should we have to apologize for our anger? It's COMPLETELY justified.

2. This sentence tells it all:
"Yes, we’re angry at George W. Bush. We’re not angry at him because of who he sleeps with, and we’re not angry at him because we think he represents some socio-cultural movement we didn’t like 40 years ago, or because he hung out with a different crowd than we did in high school. We’re angry at him because of what he’s done."

7. I'm sending this to the two right wingers I still talk to.
They always ask why the left is so angry. I always respond with, "Why aren't you?"

Kool-aid clouded brains.

8. I'm mad as hell and I don't care who knows
A raised voice attracts attention, and by god now that people are finally beginning to listen I won't shut up, I'm just going to get louder and madder. The thing is by anger won't be the blind get mad because someone tells me I'm supposed to be, rather it's a concentrated knowledge based anger directed at the ones destroying our government and way of life for their own advantage.
Damn right, I'm mad as hell and not taking it anymore.

9. In my opinion, this anger exploded in 2000
With the stealing of the White House by the Bushistas. This "story" was ignored by the media lapdogs, who quickly transformed into American Pravda to assist the Bush mob. A "story" about disenfranchised voters was no where to be seen. Instead, the media whores reported on "Bush's mandate."

You can't piss on over half a million Americans and expect not to have that come back on you in some way.
