What about citizens privilege you asshole?
Edited on Wed Mar-14-07 01:18 PM by originalpckelly
You know, I find it highly hypocritical that THE Administration to throw aside THE US Constitution is now about to claim executive privilege with Karl Rove's testimony.

Mr. Bush and Mr. Rove, what about my privilege as an American citizen to have you or anyone else in the government obtain a warrant before being spied on?

I want to know why in the hell Karl's conversations with the President (or other administration officials) are any different from any other person's in America. What about a Senator's conversation with their advisers? Or a Representatives'?

If a President is receiving advice from people, and the adviser is too chicken to keep advising the President for fear of having that advice open to the public, I have to wonder if the President should have ever received that advice in the first place.

It would be nice if we could get one of those democracy things around here. You know, where the government doesn't lie to it's people or keep secrets from them, while spying on them without warrants.

1. Citizens only matter in a democracy.
This is not one, so the corporate lords can do whatever they want.

4. we already have the laws on the books

It's time we used them. if we can put a corporal in jail for following orders we can put a president and his cabinet on trail for incompetence or failing to carry out their
office with integrity.

3. You have the "RIGHT", it is NOT a privilege!
that can be taken away at some tyrant's whim - like all our inalienable rights, even those not enumerated in the Constitution/ BOR.

Unfortunately, although one of the worse, this is not the only administration to ignore the rights of the people they work for. :(

Only when WE stop letting them do it will something change - and good luck with that.

9. There's no comparison.
A corrupt Democrat will steal the change out of the penny cup near the register at the 5&10 at the mall.

A corrupt Republican will steal the mall, all the merchandise in the stores, the land under it & the town it resides in.
