and this story, which I hope gets more coverage other than on Slate, continues to show people how stuck-up, haughty, egotistical and conceited this pathetic excuse for a president is. He just strikes me as the type in school that would expect people to worship him for no real reason. This guy is mentally ill. Too many years of drinking and doing blow plus growing up with a silver spoon in his mouth have made * expect gratitude when none, absolutely none, is warranted.

What is it with George W. Bush and his insistent demand for the gratitude of foreigners?...But this peevish imperiousness is precisely what's most disturbing about Bush's incessant concern with the proper level of fealty. The word that he repeatedly uses when discussing what he wants from nations he thinks he's helping—"gratitude"—implies a supplicant's relationship to his lord...As Stanley Renshon, a political psychologist at the City University of New York Graduate Center (and generally a Bush supporter), puts it, "Gratitude is something you give to somebody who's superior. It's very different from, say, appreciation, which is something that equals give each other."

Firing public servants who won't take oaths of fealty to him PERSONALLY ...

Can I possibly LOATHE this creature more than I already do? Don't answer that ...

in a leader. How did he get this far? I detested this guy when he was governor of my state and I detest even more now.

He speaks down to us like we're morons. It would be one thing if the guy had an IQ as high as Bill Clinton's - but considering how stupid he is - it's downright insulting.

He must have a bunch of people around him who keep on telling him how intelligent he is.

8. It's obvious he was a spoiled brat as a kid

and early adult. Just look at his behavior then. Hell he can even go AWOL, go work for someone's political campaign and suffer no repercussions. No wonder he thinks he is invincible.
