I just don't get it , I mean I do get the human factor of stupidity and discrimination but don;t you feel people just go way too far ?

Here Pace openes his yap about Gays and all the shows spend hours talking about this .

I have no problem with religion but since I have no faith I have to say people should perhaps forget about the bible at bit and try to apply their thoughts and feelings with an open mind in todays world .

Personally race or sexual preference does not enter into my thoughts , what people do is none of my business or is it my place to judge .


As long as no one is being tortured or murdered or raped , these are part of the true crimes that need to be addressed in this world , not whether someone is gay or black , yellow or green .

I just don't get people who take issue with these things . How do they feel this makes them better or how does this improve their life other than some false sense of superiority .

This is like the old bad and sick jokes about polish people to me or the other racial sick jokes where a few simple minded idiots gather in a corner at the work place and tell a stupid joke and all giggle as if they have just pronounced themselves a club of reinforced dumb asses and they don't even see how stupid and rediculous they look .

I always had to walk away once I realized there was a sick joke coming , I never had the desire to be part of their club of fools .

Most of the evangelical (and other) religions teach that you must proselytize. In other words, to be a good 'Christian' you need to be out there converting people to your word. If you just sit back and let everyone live in harmony, you wouldn't be perpetuating the religion.

4. You have to see this for what it is.

It is a way to rally *'s right wing base and bring them back to issues of "morality" and a distraction from other issues where they are losing badly. I do not doubt he was ordered to make these statements.

actually I would go so far as to say his actual beliefs were probably somewhat more extreme than anything he's said. A lot of people from all walks and political ideoligies have nasty things to say about what the people down the block do for sexual recreation, reproduction, or lack of.

My father, who was a closeted homosexual, would utter the most amazing self-hating statements ever. Far in excess of what this general was saying. Then he would go on and on about how sex was for procreation ONLY.

The general probably thought he was censoring himself.

10. I was brought up as a christian scientist

This was only until I was 12 . No one in my family ever went to doctors and were taught we could heal ourselves . Good thing there were no broken bones .

I went through a few odd illnesses that I lost alot of weight . Had odd rashes and joint pains .

I had three worts on my right hand that became the talk of the grade school class I was in so I begged god to take them away . They were gone the next day , but then this is a childs memory so who knows .

I was not aware of gays until I was 17 but then at the time no one talked about this subject in 1967 , at least where I lived . I was a loner so I was out of the loop so to speak .

I have had friends that were gay and a few transvestites , they were fun people and this never bothered me that they were gay . It just did not matter , I look at the person only .

I have no experience with religous teachings other than the short time span of christian science . This revolved around the bible and Mary Baker Eddy science and health , key to the scriptures which speaks for itself as a translation of the meaning of the words in the bible .
