3. CNBC says they'll keep the vote open in hopes of twisting some arms.
If they can't get enough twisted, they'll close the vote.

4. Boehner was NOT able to deliver even 1/3rd of the GOP caucus. Boehner is toast.
Looks like the GOP will be seeking new "leadership."

GOP vote stands at 65-133-1 ... that's less than 1/3rd.

8. Maybe when they look at the Dow plunge
And realize a quarter of their constituents will shortly be laid off, they'll think better.

9. Now it's 1/4 quarter of Americans "shortly" laid off?
That actually TOPS "mushroom cloud" as idiotic scare mongering.

Congratulations. You have been chosen for a job in the Ministry of Propaganda. Please report to the Reichstag immidiately.

11. Insulting people doesn't strengthen your argument
It merely makes you look petty.

19. If that is where we are headed (and we may be), this proposed theft
won't make a whit of difference. It will only provide some get-away cash for the perpetrators.

21. What part of this bailout not doing anything to help do you not get?
I'm all for real help. This is not it. This is simply opportunism. These are the vultures pushing this cure, not the doctors.

13. What would you rather have -- 10% or 25%?
I'm sorry, TN, but this is a monumentally stupid thing to have happen. I've spent three days poring over the bailout and related information and we need this thing *badly*. With it, we are screwed. Without it, we are profoundly screwed.

16. The highest unemployment rate in the Great Depression was barely shy of 25%.

It'll take longer than next spring. I try to use rational numbers and estimates based on history ... not hyperbole and hype.

10. It's no accident that the financial sector Representatives (mostly NY) are pushing this.

Barney Frank and all the New York City congressmen are "on board" ... as are the "bedroom community" representatives.
