What a little heartbreaker! I'm sure she'll be fine after her surgery.

Maybe you could put her in a puppy training cage to keep her from jumping. I got one when I adopted an older cat and one of our males kept picking on her and she'd piddle out of nervousness. I put her in the cage with a litter box and food (it was large enough), and she felt protected until Oreo mellowed out. Now they nuzzle each other like they've always been BFF.

Anyway, give her a big cuddle from her Aunt Catnapper.

I've ever had. I love all my cats, but she's a little extra special. My friend gave her to me because she is pet quality, not for sale as total purebred. Which I hate anyway. All my cats are pound "puppies" and I like ferals.

I'm sure she'll be fine since she's so young. That's a good idea about the large cage. She loves to jump up on everything, so I will have a problem with that after her surgery.

I want to take a step back from my usual political rants,and share a moment of beauty.I was driving down I-20 in downtown Dallas,when I observed 2 well-dressed African-American men on the side of the road.One had his arm around a haggard,elderly homeless man,who was resting his head on the well-dressed man's shoulder.The other man was holding a Burger King bag and a drink,offering it to the man.In our busy lives,we forget what being a member of the human race means,regardless of your religion,or lack of.We must look after the weakest,the least of us.Our poor,our sick,our children,our elderly-they define us as a country.I am grateful to these men for reminding me why I so vocally voice my dissent,why I became a Democrat after years as a Libertarian.We are defined by the treatment of those who have the least-not those who have the most.

I do not think they can throw him under the bus without an executive order redefining who and how the president can pardon. The Nixon example shows that this self referential behavior regarding the justice dept goes only so far, then bites back.

All the other smoke and mirrors regarding KSM is just rove. But the real story is the collapse of the Justice Dept in a manure pile of scandal.


The real question is not will gonzo go, but will the rule of law return to our federal govt?

We are way out there, not quite in military law, but certainly not in a free democracy under the constitution. Further, there is no certain return path to the pre coup version of America.

Cornered rats bite pre-emptively. Gonzo is cornered, and I think this may be the moment that Trent Lott takes revenge. I imagine a third of his party is begging him to, like Apocalypse Now, where everyone wants Kurtz dead. I can't help but think that the back room battles in the Republican party are going to turn bloody in the long hot summer.

How many more will go down to save karl rove?


I predict Bush will either declare emergency-pardons and force the issue of unitary executive rule, or will resign.
