3. He reminds me of a Stephen King story that I can barely remember.

It's in a story collection called Night Shift. In the story, a kid lives with his alcoholic lug of a dad, and it's the kid's job to go get the old man's beer. But the dad drinks a logy beer or something and transforms into a big fat white blob that stinks horribly and eats homeless people.

Basically, he turns into Cheney.
