Edwards' Chapel Hill campaign office evacuated yesterday--white powder scare

A campaign worker at John Edwards' national campaign office in Chapel Hill, NC opened an envelope with white powder yesterday. The police were called, and the Hazmat team from Raleigh even responded, along with other agencies.

News just posted this a.m. indicates the powder is NOT anthrax, but spokesperson for the Chapel Hill police says the powder has not been identified.

Obviously there is a purpose behind such an act.

I would suspect it was designed to make clear to him that he is vulnerable.
