9. Why are the Joint Chiefs upset about the cartoon?

Either they're pretty stupid, or they get it and don't like it, and figure that if they turn the cartoon into an attack on wounded soldiers, their brain-dead fans will get up in arms (figuratively speaking).

And considering the mental acuity of most of the folks appointed by George W. Bush, I'm stumped as to whether they're stupid or evil. It's so hard to tell.
