What RW memes are most indicative of a RW'ers ignorance?
Edited on Thu Mar-15-07 10:22 AM by ck4829
I always roll my eyes when I see "If you've got nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about"

Whenever RW'ers defend Bush's surveillance programs using this meme, they seem to forget about Cheney's Energy Task Force of Executive Order 13233, one is still secret, the other made it easier to declare things classified. What does the Bush Administration have to hide, huh?

But the one that makes mad is "Ooooh, look at us, we're sooooo persecuted. Waaah!!!!" It's making my blood boil just typing that. Try seeing what REAL persecution is before you whine about it, you bunch of ninnies.

1. Anything involving Bill Clinton
Pretty much every time they utter his name they sound like paranoid deluded fools.

"Clinton was offered Osama bin Ladin's head on a platter" is a favorite.

Oh and "The Civil War had nothing to do with slavery." Some Liberals will say that one too, but it tends to be more the Neo-Confederacy dunce, and they tend to be conservative.

as they masturbate in their darkened rooms and lie to themselves.

Plame was not covert. (so why did she HAVE to be exposed?)
There was no underlying crime. (so why did scooter HAVE to lie?)

And oldie but goodie from limbaugh - relative to Iraq, watch wolfowitz and perle in action, those two guys are brilliant military strategists. (circa late 2002.)

8. [blank] Derangement Syndrome
It ties into a whole bunch of RW memes, but the idea that liberals are driven by emotion and prone to craziness and over-reaction to The Truth, whether it's in the form of Dear Leader (hence their cute term "Bush Derangement Syndrome" or, more recently, FoxNews ("FoxNews Derangement Syndrome.")

The only way one could buy into something as silly as this--that we on the left are merely victims of mass hysteria that is miraculously maintained by... well, I haven't figured that out yet--would be a profound ignorance of fellow humans, and an inability to listen to their ideas.

I have a lot of problems with conservatives. But I know that the ones who are in my circle of personal acquaintance are not "crazy" or "deranged." I'd never be so lazy as to assert something so foolish.

But for some reason, a lot of them do, about us.
