We are staring at possibly 61 Senate seats: This Year's Senate Races at this moment

While there has been a lot of focus on Obama-mcbush here, there has been much less on the Senate races. Here's a quick update:

On the, our side is winning:

North Carolina: Hagan is up 37-35 on dole

Oregon: Merkley is up by 4, but still below 50%

Alaska: Begich is up by 4, but also under 50%. (Sep 22)

New Mexico: Udall is up by 17 and is above 50% (57%)

Colorado: Udall up by 5, but below 50

These are good news, because we're competative and could win:

Minnesota: Depending on the poll you use it's anywhere from Franken up by 9 to Coleman up by 10.

Georgia: Martin is down by 2% at 46-44. Not bad for a challenger many thought would never be competative

Kentucky: Lunsford is within 4 of mc connell 42-46.

Mississippi: Musgrove is also within 4 at 45-49. It will be harder since wicker is closer to 50%

Texas (Yes, Texas): Noriega is within 7 of Cornyn and Cornyn is at 50%. But, cornyn has lead by as much as 20 points and at one point was at 63%.

If you got a few dollars to spare (and I know many do not) show these people your support by donating a couple of dollars. If you live in the state, volunteer for their campaigns or just talk them up at work or with friends at a bar.

We are at the threshold of 61 Senate seats. (I say 61, because I'm not including LIEberman)

If what the Reptilians have

been doing in the Senate since 06 is any indication of what the 111th Congress will look like, we really really need to hit that 60 mark. The last two years have been nothing but filibusters, obstruction, secret holds on every piece of Legislation that does anything good for we the people. Hopefully that will be one of the changes that an Obama Administration will provide. In my state we have a chance to have an all Democratic delegation in Washington, two Senators and three Congress critters.

3. Don't forget the Senate race in New Hampshire

Sununu (R) has been pummeled with a lot of negative commercials. Shaheen (D) is leading in the polls right now.

9. Live in Boston

so haven't paid much attention to the Maine race. I'm under the impression that it will be hard for Dems to win though. The Sununu race has been hilarious to watch. The Boston TV market reaches to parts of New Hampshire, and the ad war has been fierce. Some outside groups did a number on Sununu this summer. I don't even know him and hate his guts already. :rofl: They pretty much painted him as joined to the hip to Bush and responsible for everything bad that's happened in this country. He's starting to fight back now with some ads, but I think it's too little too late. While Bush's presidency has been a disaster, Bush is the gift that keeps on giving when it comes to campaign strategy for the Dems.

Warner is pretty much a lock to flip that seat blue.

10. Also, about the MS Musgrove vs. Wicker race

I watched a debate online of them and the Dem narrowly won that debate. I think that polls for that race will get a little bit better for us.
