Should an Iraqnam memorial be built in Washington?

(A)The capitol is too crowded

(B)The American initiated Spanish-American and Mexican-American wars are remembered without memorials in the nation's capitol.

(C)The Vietnam memorial's message rings true for that conflict as well as W's war.

'Cause I sure don't think about 'em much. So, I would say yes, absolutely. No reason not to honor any men/women who have died in a major conflict. Helps us all to reflect on it, too.

8. republic-Con parents in OR pushed the

memorial and it was dedicated a couple of months ago.
Now they have to add the names of more dead on Memorial Day

Ihaven't been there yet. From the description, it does sound
fitting.

4. We need to remove all the war memorials

We need to put up memorials for all the people who suffered and/or died for social and economic justice. The people who really fight for our freedom.

These soldiers are victims of the neoconservative dystopia.

Even more than Vietnam, the Iraq war should remind us to be ever vigilant of power, especially unbridled power. If we remember that lesson, and only if we remember that lesson, will their their sacrifice be redeemed.

(C) Maybe we should tear down the Vietnam Memorial. The Tomb of the Unkown Soldier sort of "implies" Vietnam.
