So, I'm Bragging in this Post, But You Can Help Provide Some Information...

I've been out of "the loop" for the last month giving birth to my twins, and then doing the Neo-Natal Intensive Care Unit Tango. Everything is fine now, and we brought our daughter home today. (Her brother came home last Friday.)

So, since I've been focusing on "important" stuff, and am not going to have a lot of time to play "catch up" with the thrills and excitement of the last month, I would be most interested in some opinions on "what has been going on in the world" while I've been otherwise engaged.

I'm told Anna Nicole Smith died, and some guy in Michigan killed his wife/left her body in the garage. Anything else "exciting" been happening that I should be aware of? :)

And, for the record,

-- Brianna Marie was born on Saturday, February 24, 2007 @ 5:43 pm weighing 3 pounds, 15.6 ounces, 16-3/4 inches long, and

-- Cameron Allen was born on the same day @ 5:45 p.m. weighing 4 pounds, 3.5 ounces, 17 inches long.

I ended up diagnosed with Pre-Eclampsia, and delivered them at 32 weeks, 3 days (which is about five weeks early for twins). I am fine (which is what I kept telling the doctor as I was fighting with him about whether or not I was "really" sick -- 38 years of experience and a couple of medical degrees? Hah! I FELT FINE! Just because my kidneys were failing was no reason to deliver EARLY!!! Yup, I was being a tad stubborn, and kind of stupid! But everything is good now....)

The twins are beautiful, and I adore them! Brianna is on Oxygen and an Apnea monitor, while Cameron is "wire free."

I am "JPEG" challenged and somewhat brain fried due to lack of sleep -- how does one post pictures from a home computer without an HTTP link? Perhaps I can e-mail two small pictures to someone who has a clue? (PM me, if interested!)

So exciting and I am so glad you all are doing okay. It is natural for moms to put the little ones first, but don't let it become a habit!

21. Aaaw, they're wonderful!

I know how tiny they are in real life. My oldest was born with a heart problem and was in a neo-natal ICU. He was 8 1/2 lbs though, he looked like a monster child next to the 2-3 lb babies. It was amazing what they could do for those little babies 30 years ago, I can only imagine how much more than can do now.

And twins!! My goodness, you are going to have your hands full. Do you have help? BTW, I didn't mean not to be put your little ones first, they always come first. I meant don't make a habit of letting your physical or mental health suffer by putting them first more than they really need. Anyway, thanks for the pics and sleep every second you can! I will shut my mother mouth now. :)
