Beware the Ides of March!
Julius Caesar was assassinated on the Ides of March in 44 BC (3/15). As the Senate convened, Caesar was attacked and stabbed to death by a group of senators who called themselves the Liberatores ("Liberators"); they justified their action on the grounds that they committed tyrannicide, not murder, and were preserving the Republic from Caesar's alleged monarchical ambitions.

What a politically heavy day. I hope Rove had a fretful Ides today.

Camuccini, Mort de César, 1798.

3. And you can't go around pissing off constituency after constituency after constituency and keep
getting a free ride.

I'd like to see them put this toothpaste back into the tube! The levies are breeched, man!

4. Sic semper tyrannis
Mr. Bush and his friends should count themselves fortunate that live in America, where we have a cleaner way of dealing with tyrants than did the Romans. It's called impeachment.

Now get on with it, already.
